* Why you love photography?

“I am an artist at heart. Through my drawings, paintings, and now photos, I love to show the beauty and uniqueness of every subject. We all have something special that shines from within and I get so excited to be the one to capture it.”

* Your favorite type of photography?

“Boudoir and Glamour photography is my favorite! Working with a client on the ideas for their shoot, selecting the perfect outfits, carefully lighting and posing the woman to look her absolute best, gives me enormous satisfaction. But seeing the excitement on their faces when they get the final product and being a part of that confidence boost, for me, is priceless.”

* Photography tips or tricks?

“Yes! Above all, have fun and experiment! Your good mood, great attitude and love for what you do will rub off on your subject and show through the lens.”

* Comments about your web site design?

“JR Customization team is so creative and patient. We thought we knew exactly what we wanted our website to look like, but still have made a lot of changes and tweaks. Adrienne was very helpful and gave her professional input to steer us in the right direction. Our logo looks great and Blog is very popular with our fans. * Why you love photography?

“I love photography for many reasons.  First off, and probably the most cliche’ reason, is because photography affords me the opportunity to artistically capture life’s fleeting moments.  Another reason I love it is because I love to create things.  I love the process of shooting the image, uploading it and seeing it on my large computer screen for the first time, and fine tuning the small details to achieve that perfect image that we all strive for.  Last but not least, I love photography because I love people.  Being a photographer, I am fortunate enough to meet many people, with whom my path may have never crossed otherwise, and I get to become a part of a special time in their lives.”

* Your favorite type of photography?

“Though I can see the beauty in most forms of photography, I love portrait photography, more specifically newborns and young children.  There is just something about the effortless expressiveness of a toddler curiously exploring the world around him, or the ever-sweet innocence of, a fresh from the womb, newborn with her wrinkly baby skin and sleepy smiles, (even if it is just gas.  lol).”

* A funny or interesting photography story?

“As a newborn photographer, I am fully aware of the risks that come with shooting nude infants, and, to keep their minds at ease, I am always sure to let my clients know that their sweet bundle of joy WILL “christen” my blankets in one way or another.  But one time my client got to experience the joys of an un-diapered newborn firsthand.  While shooting the family photos, my client’s baby boy, after happily posing with mama, peed all over daddy as soon as he was handed over to him.  So daddy went to change, and we managed to fit more, uneventful, mommy time in there.  No sooner than he was handed back to daddy, the little darling finished his business all over daddy’s fresh new shirt.  There was literally a puddle o’ poo between dad’s arm and his body.  It seems as though baby had it in for daddy that day, but dad took it all in stride, and handled it with flawless composure.  I was very impressed.”

* Photography tips or tricks?

“If I had any tips or tricks to share at all, I would say that confidence is key.  You may think that I am speaking solely about the photographer’s confidence in his/herself, but, while that too is an essential part of a successful session, it is just as, if not more important that the subject is confident too.  Many people are uncomfortable with being photographed, so it works wonders to reassure them that they are doing great and look fantastic.  Show them that you’re excited about what you’re getting from them.  I even go as far as  to show them a quick shot, here or there, on the back of my camera while we are shooting.  This can really turn around the mood of a senior that isn’t quite sure about being in front of the camera.  It also works great for getting young children interested in the camera, so they are not avoiding it, or afraid of it.  I also do this during newborn sessions, which instills confidence in mom and dad that the time they are investing into the session will have a beautiful payoff.  Confidence can really go a long way.”

* Comments about your web site design?

“I was turned on to SmuMug just within the last year, and have fallen in love with it’s effortless usability and customizability.  I have a flash website template that I love, but it is limiting when it comes to reaching people who use devices that do not support flash, so I knew I needed an HTML website that would cater to those folks, and still compliment my current site and branding.  I contacted JR Customization to inquire about having my smugmug site customized to fit my style, and the design process quickly began.  I am so pleased with the work that they did because they really made sure to listen to my wants and needs for my site.  They made the transition from my flash site to my SmuMug site seamless.  Not only did they very effectively mimic the look and feel of my flash site, but they also added their own artistic eye to the mix and made an absolutely beautiful and unique design that I instantly fell in love with.  I couldn’t be happier with the work that they have done for me.  I have to give a shout out to Adrienne LaMilza for all of the hard work and time that she put into my customization.”

* Why you love photography?

“I love photography because you have the chance to freeze a moment/memory in time. I have the chance to help people capture those moments. Photography is not only my hobby: it is my passion.”

“I really don’t have a particular favorite type of photography. I love all of it. I will have to admit that newborn and children’s photography is an added bonus. I love how kids are so carefree and every expression they make is a great pose. They are so versatile.”

* A funny or interesting photography story?

“One time, I was photographing a seven year old. I didnt even have to tell her what to do or how to pose. She knew what to do. She loved being in front of the camera. When it came time for the session to end, she kept finding more poses and locations that she wanted. Her mom was ready to go but she just wouldnt hear of it. It was so cute!!”

* Photography tips or tricks?

“I have 2 tips actually. The first is always make sure that you check with your client before the session to see what look they are going for and any clothing options they are bringing. This allows you as the photographer to be prepared for anything and everything that might come up. My 2nd tip is make your client feel at ease. If thats by chatting for a bit or joking around, your client being at ease is going to make your session flow alot better.”

“I love SmugMug because it is so easy to navigate. jR Customization truly helped me in putting together a website that is easier to navigate not only for myself and for my clients. * Why you love photography?

“I grew up with a mother who was the family historian. She always had her camera or old 8mm video camera with her. I found an appreciation for photography after she passed away leaving her pictures and old home movies behind for future generations.

Photography is not my main occupation. I’m a pharmacist first and use photography as my personal source of relaxation. It is my way of decompressing from the stresses that come from being a pharmacist.”

* Your favorite type of photography?

“I have been shooting sports photography for years as my own children played on Little League teams. I followed them for years through their high school playing days. Just recently have I started shooting other types of photography.”

* Photography tips or tricks?

“No tricks to share yet! As for tips, my personal experience has taught me to be open to learning. I am always networking with other photographers. I look at the work of others, find what I like, and then find out how they got the results. I’m still relatively new to the business and learning new things every day.”

“I needed a good photo storage source to make my work available to a large audience. After reading numerous reviews, I went with SmugMug three years ago and have been using their services ever since.

“My photography tip or trick is really more of solid, sound advice. Honing your skills as a photographer does not happen overnight unfortunately and that can be frustrating to newbies. However, my number one piece of advice would be to join an on-line forum dedicated to photography and learning as much as you can from the members there. If you are unable to take classes at a school, a forum can be the next best thing and most members are willing and ready to help you learn and improve your craft.”

“I love JR Customization because they gave me exactly what I needed in a website and in a clean, organized manner that completely integrated with my SmugMug account. The site is beautiful and I have had numerous compliments on it. “Photography to me is like real life, its another way of capturing the life in a longer lasting memories. Who wouldn’t love photography?”

* Your favorite type of photography?

“I like to consider my self as Travel and landscape photographer. Which from my photos you would realize most of them are from various countries I have visited. However recently I developed a passion of street photography, its totally different from what I am used to for many reason. Its challenging, not anyone would appreciate taking photo of themselves, not to mention the photographer have to be brave, experience, and well equipped to capture the right scene at the right moment.”

* Any funny or interesting photography story?

“I lived in Bahrain for five years and I worked in Saudi Arabia. So I had to pass the bridge from Bahrain to Saudi Arabia on daily basis to work. Photographing the bridge is not allowed, but that never stopped me. I was captured once by the Saudi Authority and I pledged I would not do it again. Several months later, the weather was outstanding, clouding, and I decided to do it anyway. Oh well, I nearly ended up in Jail and my beautiful D-90 Was confiscated for a week. So there you go. Did that stopped me from do it again. You guessed it, NO IT DIDN’T. But this time I managed to stay out of Jail”

* Comments about your web site design?

“I am very simply person, hence I like anything that is simple yet sharp. You can tell that from my photography. And that too had to be reflected from the site. It had to be simple, easy to navigate and no complication and various colors. And with the help of Jerry I believe I got what I wanted. So thanks a billion to Jerry, he is indeed very knowledgeable and talented and gets the job done”
