* Why you love photography?

“I love photography, because it is my outlet away from the many troubles of the world. I am able to produce images that make people say “ how did you do that, I wish I was there” or thank you I love the photo” When I photograph I want to make the person relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera and have an enjoyable experience as I produce images they can treasure for a lifetime.”

* Your favorite type of photography?

“My favorite photography is Portrait and High Dynamic Range (HDR). I have interests in HDR because I want to look at a scene and produce an image as I saw it at that moment. HDR allows me to get creative and go to areas of the world to photograph images that tell a story. Portrait photography is another favorite. When I have a client who is timid and tells me I never photograph well, it is my goal to present an image to that person they can be proud to display for others to look at.”

* A funny/interesting photography story?

“A funny story about my photography experience was a costly one. I was photographing a sunrise at the ocean, the water was nice and smooth, no waves. I had my tripod in the water waiting for the right shot. I walked away from the camera thinking its fine it won’t go anywhere. As I turned back towards my camera, all I could see in slow motion was the camera and tripod shaking. I started to run to the camera, but I was too late. The camera tumbled into the ocean. I picked up the tripod from the water and attached was a large crab that apparently did not like my equipment in his water. Life lesson learned.”

* Comments about your web site design?

“SmugMug has been an asset for my business the past 3 years. SmugMug continually strives to get better and it has consistently improved every year. SmugMug will be in my life as long as I’m in photography. I found jR Customization off of the SmugMug website. I became friends on Facebook and was impressed with their work. The whole experience from start to finish was great. They maintained contact, gave suggestions and performed an outstanding job on my website. Thank you for bring my website to another level .”
