* Why you love photography?

“I love photography because it makes us see more than our eyes. Our eyes do see things but sometimes there’s so much beauty in thing that escapes our eyes, like the milky way galaxy in the sky, a fast flowing water wall that’s been shot with a slow shutter.”

* Your favorite type of photography?

“I live up in the Himalayas and I like to believe that I lead a spiritual life, so I love taking photos that have some kind of spirituality in them. I take a lot of photos of places that are considered sacred by Buddhists and Hindus.”

* Photography tips or tricks?

“I love photographing the Milky Way. I use one of the apps on the iPhone to track the milky way galaxy. Once I know the best time and direction to shoot it. I set up my camera on a tripod and shoot in manual mode. My usual settings are f2.8, ISO 3000, shutter 30 seconds.
I also love shooting star trails. If you happen to be in a place where there’s clear skies, just point your camera directly to the north and shoot in manual mode. Keep the shutter on BULB, Aperture at 2.8, ISO 3000-4000, and just shoot. I usually keep the shutter open for 30-40 minutes. You will need a remote to trigger that, I dint have one so I used a rubber band to keep the shutter pressed down! Oh yes, tripod is a must. ”

* Comments about your web site design?

“I love the jR team! They have been great! Jerry is totally cool! I remember when I first contacted jR Customization, every time I sent him an email he would respond immediately! It was insane! I live in Asia and I would email him 2 pm my time, knowing its 2 am over there, and he would write back within 5 minutes. When I was looking to customize my Smugmug, I was looking at many different customization sites, but no one gave me attention like Jerry did. For the owner to do that says a lot about the team he has there.
And of course, Adrienne has been so helpful. She helped me out with everything. Even after everything was ready, and the payments made, she would still answer all my questions. She’s the best!”
