“I love photography because it is such an adventure. Every experience is different because each person I photograph is unique and authentic. It’s so much fun interacting with families and capturing their expressions through photography. I enjoy helping families create the visual history books of their lives.”

* Your favorite type of photography?

“My favorite type of photography is childrens portraits. I enjoy capturing children with their authentic expressions. It is always an adventure to photograph a child and you never know what will happen. I enjoy the spontaneity of photographing children. I think there’s nothing much cuter than seeing a child discover something new or giggle at a sibling.”

* Any funny or interesting photography story?

“I recently had the opportunity to photograph a family of five with three girls ages five and under. The first challenge was the weather…it was sprinkling on and off all day long but had stopped when I arrived at their house. Only one of the three children was awake so I began by photographing the playful little girl. By the time the youngest woke up from her nap it started sprinkling again. I just kept on clicking hoping to capture the light and not the raindrops. The middle daughter woke up five minutes before the shoot was supposed to end. I stayed an additional 15 minutes to ensure that I got all the shots I knew I needed. Luckily, we got some terrific images of the girls together, with the parents and with their beloved dog. It was definitely an adventure!”
